Naruto took a few seconds to properly open his eyes again, having just had a head-on collision with this girl.
-Ugh, what was that?
He said with a groan of pain. Then he realises the girl was on top of him, unintentionally pinning him down. When he looked at her he saw stars in her eyes.
-Are you one of us?
She asked with a lot of enthusuiasm.
-I assume you mean Jinchuuriki, right? In that case yes, i am.
She shot up and started bouncing on her feet from joy as she watched him get up.
-So, you're Seven Tails, right?
-Sure am, the name's Fuu.
she held out her hand for him to shake.
-Naruto Uzumaki, Nine Tails.
She let out a gasp at the amount of tails.
-You have the highest amount of all Bijuu!
She said with lots of exitement and even more enthousiasm.
-Guess I do.
She went on to ask roughly 40 question in record time, half of which he didn't know the answer to.
-Uh let's calm down a bit, lets go somewhere a bit more welcoming to talk about that, ok?
Naruto proposed.
-Ok sure! Come, I know a chill place to talk.
While walking through the village he studied the girl a bit, she had light green hair, held out of her face with an orange clip, which matched her eyes, as orange as a hideous jumpsuit with blue collar he had in his closet at home.
She seemed the happy-go-lucky kind of person, bouncing while they walked here and there, a big smile on her face.
But Naruto recognised the signs, she greeted quite a lot of people, not many of them answered, either greeting back, ignoring her or giving her a dirty look in her back. But like Naruto, she seems used to it.
They approached the giant tree at the center of the village Fuu got out her wings and motioned for Naruto to climb up as she flew higher.
Now, the tree was easy to climb, almost like a path had been made in the roots, but he was worried about potential cultural importance, he didn't want to offend people by climbing this giant tree.
-Oi, Fuu-San, is this tree ok to climb? Won't it get us in trouble?
She giggeled before answering.
-Of course this tree is ok to climb, Naruto-Kun. Its just a tree.
Naruto sweatdropped at this this 'tree' was the size of the village of Taki itself, maybe even bigger.
Neverhteless, he began to climb. He scaled high trees and buildings a lot since he was born, but it was still a bit scary.
She stopped at one of the lower branches, not wanting to exhaust the boy. Though it was still a solid 500 meters in the air.
It took Naruto around 8 minutes to get to her, panting as he reached her branch, she was at half the brach away from the base.
He sat down next to her and they looked at each other with a smile.
-Its nice to know there are others like us, isn't it?
-Yeah, I often thought no one would ever understand this feeling that i get when people look at me.
The girl nodded, knowing what he was talking about, then she asked:
-Have seen others of our kind?
-Nope, you're the first one i meet, Fuu-San.
-Lucky me.
They both giggeled.
-Please, use Chan or no honorific.
-Ok, Fuu-Chan
-Much better, so what are you doing here, from what i know you're supposed to be in Konoha.
She said as they layed down on the enourmous tree branch.
For the first time Naruto was able to tell his story, the beating, the discrimination, and of course, the reason he was here, the Kyuubi festival and what would happen if he was there right now. He truly opened his heart for the first time, by the time he finished he was crying and Fuu had him locked in an embrace. She was outraged at how Konoha treated the one who kept their village from destruction. Yet he was cool-headed, friendly, and kind for having been treated like this, and she respected the hell out of him for it.
She then went on the tell her own personal experience, much less traumatic, she had Shibuki, the leader of Waterfall that deeply cared for her and the worst she recieved was a few dirty looks or being ignored, that's because Shibuki had done effort to explain the situation to the people of Taki, they knew the difference between Fuu and Chomei (he learned that was the beasts name during her story), she wouldn't ever have been physically harmed by the people of Taki, which she was grateful for.
But even then, she knew the pains that pleagued the Jinchuuriki, people always being one or two steps further than with other people when talking to her, the fear some people had she could explode in a demonic burst any second, some ninja even got out their weapons around her, not for Fuu, but for the off chance must the demon escape.
They ended up falling asleep in each others arms, being happy to have found someone like them.
They spent the next two weeks chilling on that same branch, talking, sleeping, or sometimes even cuddling, as they found out their bodies were like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly in each other. Occasionally going in the village to eat and Naruto taught her the art of pranking, she became his first and best pupil. They even trained a bit here and there, at first on the tree, but after Naruto had fell off and Fuu had to make a crash landing in the surrounding while holding Naruto so he doesn't fall to his death, they trained on training grounds.
Fuu was very fond of physical touch, and Naruto found himself not minding it at all. He liked Fuu's confident and positive personality, he was once like that, but training under ANBU and being treated as he is, he was less happy-go-lucky than before.
Then came the day Naruto hoped would never come, he had to continue his journey to Suna, he had to leave Taki, leave Fuu. When he announced the news she burst in tears, not the sad kind though, more like the kind that a child would cry when he was told to give up his toy, but he could have it back a day later. At first she wanted to go with him, she begged Shibuki and gave him puppy dog eyes but the man resisted, he was a true force, Naruto thought when she sadly told him about his disapproval, he actually withstood Fuu's adorable, 7 year old puppy dog eyes. (yes, she's a year younger)
So after a lot of waterworks (mostly from Fuu), hugging, and a promise to come back next year, Naruto left Takigakure, Shibuki had to almost knock her out to keep her from leaving with him.
And so he continued his journey to Suna.
