Good wine is plentiful in Barcelona, but where can you find the best wine bars in the city? Here is a list that covers all the most exciting, cozy, friendly, and cool wine bars in Barcelona!

Best Wine Bars in Barcelona — Barcelona Food Experience (1)

Masa Vins

Looking for a good time? And some very good wines? Then Masa Vins is your place. This vibey spot offers a very large number of wines, both in bottle and by the glass, and fun snacks when you get hungry. It’s a very popular spot, so go early! Read my review of Masa Vins here.

Masa Vins, C. de Pallars, 154, 08005 Barcelona (Poblenou).

Contracorrent Bar

It was love at first sight for me with this new wine bar that serves excellent food with vegetables and herbs from their own garden. The food is seasonal so the menu changes constantly, and they are experts on wine. Read my review on Contracorrent Bar here.

Carrer Ribes 35 (Fort Pienc)

Cellarer

Very cozy place, with a great location close to Enrique Granados. They have lots of wines to choose from, and you can eat here too. They have a small terrace if you prefer to sit outside.

Carrer de Mallorca, 211 (Eixample Esquerra).

Bistrot Levante

This lovely bistro is hidden away on a tiny little plaza in Gótico, and together with their Eastern Mediterranean dishes they also have a very interesting range of natural wines, and not only from Spain, and some of them exclusively available in Barcelona at Bistrot Levante. Sounds cool, right?

Placeta de Manuel Ribé 1 (Gótico).

Bar Salvatge

Are natural wines your thing? Bar Salvatge in Gracia specializes in interesting wines that have been produced using natural methods. They have eight wines on tap, and a whole lot more to choose from when it comes to bottles. They have cheese, charcuterie, excellent bread, and more to nibble on. Now they also have a terrace.

Carrer de Verdi, 50 (Gracia).

Best Wine Bars in Barcelona — Barcelona Food Experience (3)

Amovino

Amovino focuses on Catalan wines only: a perfect place when you want to discover the wines of the region. They regularly organize wine-related events, so make sure to keep an eye out on their social media. They also serve tasty food here.

Carrer d'Aribau, 30 (Eixample).

El Maravillas

The team behind successful co*cktail bars such as Dr. Stravinsky and Paradiso (the famous speakeasy) also run a lesser-known little sister in Les Corts called El Maravillas. Here they serve tasty dishes to share, excellent co*cktails (as one would expect), and they have an excellent, curated wine list. They also have a terrace.

Plaça de la Concòrdia, 15 (Les Corts).

Celler de Can Dani

Celler de Can Dani is a wine shop in Gracia that you shouldn’t miss if you happen to be around. It is my go-to wine shop. Not technically a wine bar (you can’t order a glass here, unless you’ve signed up for an event), but the choices here are excellent when it comes to bottles. Make sure to ask the staff for advice; they’re very knowledgeable and friendly.

Travessera de Gràcia, 119 (Gracia).

Denassus

Two friends and sommeliers put their heads together and created Denassus: a fun and cozy place to discover both local and foreign wines, paired up with dishes that are perfect for sharing with a friend. Their natural wine selection is very much on point.

Carrer de Blai, 5 (Poble Sec).

Garage Bar

Garage Bar is a true temple of natural wines. It all started with a natural wine fair and has now turned into a brick-and-mortar in Sant Antoni. Come here for good food, and a glass, or preferably many, from their interesting wine list. They organize events for those who have a curiosity towards natural wines, but also expert somms who want to keep broadening their knowledge.

Calabria 75 bajos (Sant Antoni).

Pepa Bar a Vins

If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know I have a huge sweet spot for Pepa Bar a Vins. This bookstore-turned-wine-bar is so wonderfully charming, with lovely staff, excellent food, and fun wines to choose from, many by the glass. Read my review of Pepa Bar a Vins here.

Carrer d'Aribau, 41, (Eixample Esquerra).

Zim

Plenty of research has been executed to find the exact wines to go with each dish at Zim. The wine options offered here aren’t abundant; however, they are interesting and excellent to pair with, for example, the cheeses from the next door cheese shop.

Carrer de la Dagueria, 20 (Gótico).

Best Wine Bars in Barcelona — Barcelona Food Experience (6)

Bandini’s

Bandini’s became from the first time I visited a favorite hangout of mine. This cozy tavern in Sant Antoni has everything one could wish for: cool wines, tasty dishes to share, and a great vibe. You can read my review of Bandini’s here.

Bandini’s, Carrer de Manso, 42, 08015 Barcelona (Sant Antoni).

Bodega Maestrazgo

Wine bar, shop, and tastings: all in one place at Gran Bodega Maestrazgo. You won’t be disappointed with one of the oldest wine shops in Barcelona, founded already in 1952. The family-owned business (third generation) takes wine seriously, and want to help their customers navigate the world of wines.

La Graciosa specializes in organic and natural wines. Both a wine shop and a bar, this friendly haunt serves a little something to nibble on, and cool, funky wines. Check out their backyard, where they sometimes have live music!

This famous bar with a non-stop kitchen also offers fascinating wines, some of which have been produced in very limited quantities.

A wonderful old-timer that oozes charm boasts large barrels with wine to take away or enjoy right there in the bar, paired with one of their famous tins of clams or mussels. They also have delightful wines by the bottle. Read my review of Bar Bodega Quimet here.

Carrer de Vic 23 (Gracia).

La Moderna

This bar feels somewhat of a secret: many pass by it without even noticing its there. But do go in and try a glass of wine from the barrels, or maybe a nice glass of vermouth and a snack. There is nothing modern about this place despite its name, and that’s one of the best thing about it.

Carrer d'Enric Granados, 110 (Eixample Esquerra).

Best Wine Bars in Barcelona — Barcelona Food Experience (9)

Bar Torpedo

Bar Torpedo has managed to create quite a name for itself thanks to its cool interior and its famed burger. But the wine list, packed with natural wines, is just as fascinating. Behind this venture is Rafa Peña, from famed Gresca.

Carrer Aribau 143 (Eixample Esquerra).

Otra Cosa Taberna

I have a very soft spot for this place, where the food is delicious and the wine options interesting. Now they even make their own wine! Make sure to try their trikini; it’s insane.

Carrer Gran de Sant Andreu 45 (Sant Andreu)

Wine, good food, and vinyl records, what can go wrong? This little wine bar and restaurant is located in Gracia, and is open Tuesdays to Sundays.
